Research and Development
We actively encourage our staff to improve their academic careers by attaining additional degrees such as Master of Science (MSc) or Doctorate (PhD). Our key staff have Doctorate Degree and almost all our engineers and architects have either an MSc degree or are currently continuing their education to further their qualifications.
We support our staff members in conducting research work, particularly in subjects with practical commercial applications. Such projects have generally involved the collaboration with universities and industries. Dr. Kemal Hanoğlu has done research on the fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) overlay retrofit of hollow clay tile masonry infill reinforced concrete frames for seismic conditions.
Orient Research took part in the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Our experts have teamed up with European companies for research and development of HIPIN nano composite systems. The project was focused on the enhancement and manipulation of solid or liquid state materials at a nano level to improve insulation properties. We led this research in two modules: conducting a Europe-wide market survey and identifying potential applications for this technology. The website for this research is http://www.hipin.eu/
