Condition Survey of Buildings and Structures
The purpose of this Survey is to enable production sites to carry out a visual, non-intrusive condition survey of buildings and other structures and to record and categorise any defects that are identified.
The identification and categorisation of any defects will assist in ensuring the safety of Client's staff and visitors to site through scheduling, budgeting and implementation of any repairs and/or replacements. It will also help inform future budgets for both capex and maintenance expenditure. Engineers of Orient Research with the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience will be engaged to assess the defect and confirm the action required.
It is recommended that the survey is carried out on an annual basis as a minimum and also after an extreme weather event, such as high winds or heavy rain, that may have resulted in damage to the building or structure. Surveys should also be carried out after any incidents involving impact damage from vehicles or plant.
For areas which may not be easily accessible, such as some roofs, survey is carried out by using a drone.
